Now Open @ Decker Pines!
We aquired a lease in the Decker Pines Shopping Center, 32015 HWY 249 in Pinehurst, TX!
The property had an existing unit that had become derelict and ownership transferred to us, after assessing the condition we’ve determined it must be removed. Our goal was to have an Everest VX-4 on site and vending by May 1, 2026 but delays arranging demolition and site modifications and getting power caused significant delays. As of July 11, 2026 Festival Water & Ice is up and running! Come fill that cooler! Get you some fresh filtered water! I hear our ice will even keep fish cold!
We’re sure this old beauty served the previous owner well, but it’s time for this one to retire. Our plans were to remove this machine and re-purpose as much of it as we can to provide food grade ice and water to local fundraising activities focused on assisting local food banks. We’ve since discovered it is missing much of the internal mechanisms and is beyond economical repair. Anyone know how to get in touch with Demolition Man?
We contracted Doctor Demolition, LLC to handle the removal of the old machine that no longer functioned. They left us with a hole that needed a good bit of site work that we decided to take on ourselves. After a long day in the sun and 42 sacks of concrete, we have the power and water stubbed up.
This is the machine that now calls Decker Pines home. With a brand new filtration sysem, UV Water Sterilization and the new Oxidice ozone injector for the ice cuber all installed and tested to provide the freshest, safest, best tasting water and ice available.
AAron’s Electric out of Spring, TX “hooked us up” and helped us win our seemingly never ending battle with Centerpoint Energy. I’ll get some pictures and post them here soon. It’s been raining every day since we powered up. (Wouldn’t ya know).
After three different meter bases, two different disconnect panels, new wire, replacing the existing PVC on the power pole, re-routing the ground wire, stabilizing the meter rack, moving replacing the weather head, moving the weatherhead and countless red tags from our friends at Centerpoint we hit the right combination of perserverence, tenacity and profligating resources. A mere 18 months after we started this madness, we are finally running!
If you have a prospective placement site, or know of other derelict sites let us know, we have a pretty generous referral program.
